Configuration
Proper configuration is key to successful sniping. This guide covers the essential settings you need to adjust before you start.
1. Wallet Setup
The Raydium Solana Sniper Bot needs access to a Solana wallet to execute trades. We recommend using a new, dedicated "burner" wallet for sniping to isolate funds.
In the 'Wallets' tab of the bot, click 'Add Wallet'. You will be prompted to enter your wallet's private key. This key is stored locally on your machine and is never transmitted to our servers. Give the wallet a nickname for easy identification. You can add multiple wallets.
2. RPC Endpoint
A reliable RPC (Remote Procedure Call) endpoint is critical for speed. While you can use public RPCs, we strongly recommend a private RPC from providers like Helius, Triton, or QuickNode for the best performance.
Enter your RPC URL in the 'Settings' tab. The bot will use this endpoint to communicate with the Solana blockchain.
3. Basic Snipe Settings
In the main 'Snipe' tab, you'll find the core parameters:
- Token Address: The address of the token you want to snipe. For new launches, you'll often paste this in right before the launch.
- Buy Amount (SOL): The amount of SOL you want to spend on the snipe.
- Priority Fee: The extra fee to get your transaction processed faster. A higher fee increases your chances of being first. Start with a value around 0.001 SOL and adjust based on network congestion.
- Slippage (%): The maximum price change you'll accept. For volatile launches, a slippage of 20-30% is common to ensure the transaction doesn't fail.
With these settings configured, you are ready to perform your first snipe. For more advanced options like auto-selling and rug-pull protection, see the 'Advanced Features' guide.
